Over the years, I\u2019ve worked across a variety of roles, from credit analysis and loan management to relationship management and operations, which gave me a deep understanding of the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does your current role involve?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As Senior BDM, I work closely with brokers to workshop scenarios and applications in progress, collaborating with our credit team to find solutions. I also focus on building strong relationships with business partners and introducers, ensuring they have the confidence and support they need to deliver for their clients. It\u2019s about being a trusted partner and making the process as smooth as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do you assist brokers to grow their business?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Education is key. I help brokers expand their knowledge of Brighten\u2019s products and processes. Brokers have several scenarios and it\u2019s important they\u2019re aware of what products and tools are available for them to best service their client.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do you enjoy most about your role?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Helping brokers and their clients achieve home ownership or grow their investment portfolio is incredibly rewarding. Working in the non-bank space is a privilege because we can often help clients who don\u2019t fit the traditional mould. I love how we can help clients achieve their financial goals where they would not normally be able to with the majors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s the most important advice you can offer to a new-to-industry broker?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Don\u2019t shy away from deals that seem tricky. Clients come to you because they may not fit a bank\u2019s criteria. Work closely with non-bank lenders and build strong relationships with them. That trust and collaboration will set you apart and help you deliver solutions others can\u2019t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How important is broker feedback in ensuring you provide the best service?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Broker feedback is vital. Every piece of feedback helps us improve and ensures we\u2019re meeting broker and client needs. I even take it to management so that we can enhance the process for brokers. Listening to brokers is how we stay ahead and keep delivering exceptional service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What makes a great BDM or state manager?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Be responsive. It might seem simple, but returning calls and responding to emails in a timely manner Is so important in this industry. Attention to detail is so important when workshopping deals. And don\u2019t be afraid to challenge policy, ask for the exception, and push the boundaries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If there\u2019s one thing you could change about the industry, what would it
