FAQs

How do I apply for Brighten home loan?

Start your application by filling out our Complimentary Online Assessment Form.

Once submitted, we will conduct an initial assessment based on the information provided and our team will guide you through the next steps to discover the best loan option for your needs.

Alternatively, you may submit an enquiry and one of our lending specialists will be in touch. We’re available Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm (AEST/AEDT).

How much can I borrow for a home loan?

This depends on your total income, expenses, your credit history and the loan-to-value ratio (LVR).

You can calculate your estimated borrowing capacity using Brighten’s borrowing power calculator, this will give you a quick and easy estimate based on your current financial situation, and won’t impact your credit score.

How much deposit do I need for a home loan?

With some of our loan options, you may be eligible to borrow up to 95% of the property’s purchase price (including LMI), so you could get started with as little as a 5% deposit. The exact amount required can vary depending on the type of property and its location. You will also need funds to cover costs such as stamp duty, loan fees, and other government charges, as these cannot be added to your home loan.

What documents do I need to provide?

To assess your home loan application, you’ll need to provide documentation that verifies your identity, financial position, and income. Requirements vary depending on your employment type and the source of your deposit.
